The Prettiest Mexican Girl in Austin

I go back all the time
to the local taquería

where she used to work

The prettiest Mexican girl in Austin

I have not seen her in months

I hope she’s safe and home

but who knows
I don’t

I can’t even remember her name
from her badge

But I can see her face

Maybe she knew I would remember her forever

if she has forgotten about me
and the other taco customers

I’m happy for her
